Where is the Sun? Dealing with the end of a Marriage

During a stormy and cloudy day, the skies are dark and gloomy; leaving one wondering where is the sun? The world seems to move in slow motion and everything feels like it is working against you in every way imaginable.

Then something amazing happens, the sun comes out with a smile, and things start to look so much better and brighter. You realize by the end of a sunny day you haven’t given those stormy days very much thought.

Life’s troubles are a lot like stormy days. I know this is hard to do, but grab some hot cocoa, coffee or tea, a good book, and a warm blanket. This is to say that no matter what troubles may come, keep prayerful and take care of yourself; remember, the sun will come out because it is always just behind the clouds. You will smile again; that is a promise.

Learn to forgive, then move on; it is a very important step in your process. Stop wondering if they miss you or think of you; really, you shouldn’t care either way. No one is worth that much thought, especially not a cheating spouse with no remorse. Take it from someone who knows. This is only a chapter in your life story. You are not to blame for their bad decisions, so stop wondering what you did wrong. Love yourself, and someone deserving of your love will come along.
