Hubby and I decided to visit On Board Charcuterie on Glenwood Ave, after I saw a mouth-watering Instagram post. You see, my husband is a huge fan of charcuterie boards of the cheese and crackers variety, so I knew we had to check this place out. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
When we arrived, about twenty minutes early thinking we would have to go hunting for parking, it is downtown after all, we were pleasantly surprise On Board Charcuterie has a parking lot available to customers for free before 5 pm, which was a huge plus for us. It made our visit hassle-free and even more enjoyable.
They offer three sizes of build your own charcuterie boxes. We opted for the medium one, which included two meats, three cheeses, and a selection of garnishes. It was the perfect size for the two of us to enjoy with a glass of wine that evening.
The box was beautifully arranged and full of delicious surprises. The meats were flavorful and paired perfectly with the cheeses. Speaking of cheese, the Blueberry Goat Cheese was a standout for me – it was creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of sweetness for me. Hubby wasn’t a fan of the Blueberry Goat Cheese, it was too sweet for him but he rather enjoyed the robust taste of the Blue Stilton.
Overall, our experience at On Board Charcuterie was fantastic. The quality of the ingredients, the thoughtful presentation, and the convenience of parking made it a perfect trip for an enjoying evening. If you’re in Raleigh and love charcuterie, or just want to try something new, I highly recommend visiting On Board Charcuterie and Catering.
